We continue to understand the hackathon. In general, I explained what a hackathon and a MetaBUIDL event are in this article, if you are a beginner, I advise you to read it.

But if you are already an experienced user and are familiar with such a concept as hackathon, then I suggest considering MetaBUIDL events more specifically. Let’s figure it out together.

And so the hackathon started on August 27, now the tasks from the teams that were announced for the hackathon are being completed. By the way, there was a very cool opening ceremony, you can watch it here:

Let’s see what is happening in MetaBUIDL right now. It is very interesting. Let me remind you that this is only the first series of hackathons, MetaBUIDL itself will last until the end of the year.

To view the hackathon events, there is: https://metabuidl.nearspace.info/

What can I find here?

First, on the main page you can see the teams and the list of developers who are looking for their teams. Let’s take a look at the teams that are currently participating in the hackathon.

By the way, many of them are now looking for candidates to participate in the team. To participate and respond to a vacancy or offer your candidacy, you need to log in using github. Let’s see how to do it.

To begin with, you can read the description.

After that, click on “Apply”

To respond to a vacancy, it is important to log in using Github.

Click on Login (it’s logical, isn’t it:)

IMPORTANT! You must have a Github account, otherwise there is simply no point in further steps. It is desirable that you already have experience in development and portfolio. We confirm the action on GitHub.

Now we have to choose a role. Either you are a developer, or you are looking for a developer.

If you have chosen the path of a developer, then you need to fill out information about yourself and your qualifications.

If you have registered as a team that is looking for a developer, then you need to provide information about the company.

Now let’s take a look at how to find a project for a developer. You need to go to the “Position” tab and view any option that suits you. I took a random company that needs a programmer for a full-time job.

After reading the description, you decide whether to apply or not.

After submitting the application, you will be contacted by representatives of the team.

From the developer’s side, everything seems to be clear, now let’s look at how it will look from the company’s side.

If you need to find a developer or a task performer, go to the main page and click “Builders & Creators”

In this tab, you will see a list of active candidates.

Let’s look at the Elena Chorna questionnaire for an example. On this page you can find all the developer’s skills, descriptions of his work and a link to Github. If you are satisfied with your work experience and skills, then you can contact the applicant.

Thus, you can already take part in the hackathon and become part of the strongest teams.
